Browser war is getting fierce each day , with the presence of Google Chrome and Mozilla firefox challenging the monopoly of Microsoft’s Internet Explorer (IE) . An Indian browser titled EPIC has made its fresh entry in battle . EPIC is based on Mozilla Firefox platform , and is developed by a Bangalore based software firm named Hidden Reflex . Comparing to Google Chrome and Firefox EPIC offers some unique and interesting features .
The Epic browser has a very colorful look which you can customize according to your interest . The default peacock background looks quite attractive . There are lot of interesting themes available to choose from . You can use firefox themes and addons with epic . Currently Epic browser has over 1500 application.
Epic has many inbuilt services , quite of which are India oriented , you can have live news, cricket updates ,live stocks updates etc .An integrated side bar on the left provides you quick access to a wide range of tools including some integrated apps like orkut, facebook and twitter which are undoubtedly the most favorite social networking sites preferred by the Indian web-goers.
EPIC also offers some very interesting features which are missing in Chrome , IE and Firefox . Epic is the only browser that offers built-in anti virus and anti-phishing protection . Your downloads are scanned automatically .The Epic browser also offers an inbuilt document editor which allows you to edit/compose documents on the go while the My Computer button allows you to access the files on your disk without navigation away from the browser.
Epic takes more time in loading comparing to chrome and firfox , which I think is because of the large number of sidebar apps and add-ons . The home button is found missing , which is generally present in all browsers .
Considering all the above mentioned pros and cons , we think its an interesting browser , which you should try . You can download EPIC to give it a try .

Very attractive look but heavy to load. Thanks to the the author to post this thread. But, i have an issue, in this browser we are also able to explore our system(Like drives and personal folders), don't you think it can harm us..
As it has an inbuilt antivirus you dont have to worry about that ,only security concern is about cookies which is same in all browser you cant do anything about it else than disabling cookie
gud work…..best of luck for the feature…….
