There is no fixed formula or procedure to solve reasoning questions , reasoning is just about your general awareness and observational skills . Classification of words problems can be quite simple , its all about grouping of words . In such problems you are asked to pick the odd one out or to find the word which is least like the other words .Try to find out the common qualities of the words and group them , then you can easily spot the word that doesn’t belong to that group . Let us try to understand it with few examples .
Lets say you have problems asking which word is least like other words in the group .
a) Heart b) Kidney c) ear d) lungs e)eyes
So which one is least like other words among the above 4 words . At the first glance you can see that each of the above words are the part of human body . Now try to further group these words , on careful observation you will find that human body has 2 eyes , 2 lungs , 2 ear , 2 kidneys and just one heart . So heart is least like others . So your answer should be a) heart
ok lets take another question
a)arc b)tanget c)diagonal d)radius e) diameter
On careful observation you will find that arc , tangent , radius and diameter are the terms related to circle but diagonal is not related to circle so your answer should be c)diagonal
I hope you can now solve reasoning problems on classification of words , take the test below and test your reasoning skills .
